I think you're right on the mark. It's incredible to me how there appears to be so many people both in politics and/or actively involved with it who don't get this. Incredible.

They are very afraid of a Fred Thompson candidacy, and are already trying to undermine it, knowing that Thompson has said he won't announce anything until summer.
