"After several face-to-face meetings, Vitter said he believes Giuliani would not as president "advance some kind of liberal social agenda." Instead, Vitter said, he is convinced Giuliani would appoint conservatives to the federal judiciary.

"Obviously, I disagree with Rudy on some very significant social issues," Vitter said. "The most important thing the next president will do on these issues is appoint federal judges, and Rudy has stated clearly to me and to the world that he'll appoint strict-constructionist judges, who apply the law as written and not legislate from the bench."

Giuliani's a guy who thinks Roe was good law. Trusting him with judges would be like trusting Bill Clinton with policing the interns' dormitories.
