I have a close friend who is a left-seat-er for Delta. He was about to take off from, I think was Heathrow, and the head Stew called him out from the cabin before they pushed back. Some really old guy had apparently went "room temp" in one of the coach seats. But this man's wife was sitting next to him insisting that he was actually just a heavy sleeper. The fact that the guy's tongue was hanging out of his head and he was slumped against the window...and that his pants and seat were completely soaked from the bladder "relaxing," was a pretty good clue to the crew.

After trying to convince this woman for about 15 minutes they actually brought a compact mirror out of one of the stew's purse and held it under the guy's nose to show the woman that her husband was gone. Even then she wouldn't agree, so they called an ambulance. By the time the medic got to the airplane the flight was delayed by over an hour.

It seems that the woman knew that if they found out that her husband was dead that the airline would have...and did...pull the body off in London and the authorities would have to take possession. The final cost to the woman was something like $5,000 to get the body home via air, after all the added expense she incurred having to stay longer in London before she went home.

An American and his mother-in-law are visiting the Holy Land when she dies. The man contacts the local undertaker who tells him that he can bury her in the Holy Land for $50 or have her flown back to the States for around $5000.

Guy says "lemme think about that for a while."

Guy comes back the next day and says "I think I'll have her flown back to the States."

Undertaker sez "Really? Do you know how many people pay a fortune to have their bodies flown here to be buried in the Holy Land? And you want to do the reverse? Why?"

Guy sez "Well... I heard tell of a man who died and was buried in the Holy Land and three days later he came back to life. I don't wanna take that chance..."
