That was some plain old BS.....Pelley wasn't out to get the story from Wuterich's perspective, not in the least.
Pelley was a judgemental a$$hole who was asking a guy who was in a war zone to retrospectively explain his actions, knowing full well that it is impossible to defend what may happen 'in the moment'.
Just caught this because the Amazing Race is on late tonight. My goodness. I'm having a hard time thinking of when I've ever seen a more self-righteous, judgemental piece of crap than Pelley showed himself to be tonight. And the token 30 seconds with his lawyers to explain the Sargeant's side? Yeah, that was fair and even handed. I'm simply disgusted.
I was hoping this wouldn't turn out this way because his lawyers seemed to want it aired. It sounds like you're right.
