Perhaps this explains the death of one of my female cats last month and the constant vomiting of the others.
She kept complaining and was getting thinner everyday but I thought it was the fast growing kittens that were already weaned but were still nursing off of her, she died after becoming extremely thin, lethargic after a few days.

I am sorry for the loss of your mommy cat. It can be hard to know when to take a cat in. We had a diabetic cat who needed insulin shots for three years. Then he was no longer diabetic, then he stopped eating. He turned to have a stomach cancer and we had to put him down. It all happened so fast.

I also remember our family cat died soon after she had stopped eating. My mom was going to take her to the vet, but she died before she took her. (I was no longer living at home, only heard about it after she had died.)
