"In what state is that statutory rape?"

Isn't the definition of statutory rape sex between an adult and a minor?
18 - Adult
17 - Minor

I don't know the law intimately, as it's something I've never contimplated.

No, most states require a five year age difference. So in order to commit statutory rape with a 17 year old, you would have to find a state where 17 is not considered of age (it's 16 here in my home state) and where the older person is at least 22 years old.

I would wager there isn't a single state where 18/17 would consitute statutory rape.
