Fred Thompson is shaking up the GOP presidential field. And he's not even running yet.

NEW YORK--"Expect her to recount every moment of her ordeal," the savvy district attorney mused to his deputy. "There won't be a dry eye in the jury."
"That's a take!" says a director of the hit NBC series "Law and Order." With that, Fred Thompson, the former U.S. senator from Tennessee who has played "strict constructionist" prosecutor Arthur Branch for the past four years, walks back with me to his dressing room to talk about a new role he might soon be undertaking: surprise Republican presidential candidate.

since you are unable to donate the $500 million needed to win the primary,If I withhold my 2 pence (and my folk), there won't be 500M(US). Stew on that, before you piss off someone with money in their pocket, and no candidate worthy on deck...

FR has NOTHING at all to "do" in the scheme of things; no power whatsoeverOk... So.... Why do you post so upset? We don't run the world. We're (mostly) not masters of the universe... So why are you so strident?

The constant conspiracy crap on this forum is bizarreNo, it is not. It's a free republic. Where each citizen gets his say. Even if he's koo-koo in the brain-pan. That's the way of it. I can argue with him, I can love or hate him, but he gets his say if he follows the rules.
Welcome to a Free republic..

Giuliani, McCain and Romney will not get my vote. I'll vote third party if one of those three become the nominee. Thompson I can live with.

I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet, but Watts would certainly be an excellent choice for VP.

You'll notice how Thompson has the Rudy supporters in a blind panic.Funny that. Nobody seriously expects McCain to actually win the nomination, Romney has milqeutoast support, but Rudy backers fly into open rage when Fred's name comes up...
