Expecting historical accuracy, or even near accuracy, from Hollywood is like expecting the government to do something well - it only happens rarely, by accident.

This "outrage" should be milked for all it is worth. The real story here is about how enraged the knuckle-draggers (and their hate-America allies in the US and all over the world) get over FICTION, a movie based on a comic book, which was in turn an obvious bastardization of history.

You do make a good point there - "there is no bad publicity" when it comes to a movie.

The effect this one is having I find absolutely fascinating. It's almost as if the critics are insisting that there is no such thing as martial virtue when it comes to the West, only for those it has nominally oppressed. That's nothing more than a Marxist fairy tale that needs to have a stake driven through its heart.
