I not so pleased with the way that Menu Foods tested their stuff. They fed it to 40 to 50 cats and 7 died. Why not test on rats? The cats were all quite young, under a year old, many as young as 4 months.

I had not got wind of this before you posted to me. Then I found this: As if the news about the massive pet food recall after pets have become ill and even died couldn't get any worse, it has. It turns out that Menu Foods actually fed 40-50 cats and dogs, resulting in seven animals dying - and still waited weeks to recall the food!

I don't know if they could have tested on rats (or liberals) and gotten valid data, but it sure seems to me that there would be no problem with it.
