OK, I may be wrong. If he served two terms as a Congresscritter from Georgia, then who was it that ran in Virginia recently and lost? I'm confuzzled.

Ben Jones, the ex-congressman from Georgia, moved to Virginia, ran for Congress, and lost.

Ben Jones served two terms representing the 4th district of Georgia, 1989-1993. He lost his seat after the redistricting following the 1990 Census moved him into the 10th. He ran against Newt Gingrich in 1994, pretty much as a sacrificial lamb, drawing about 30 percent of the vote.

He later moved to Virginia, where he owns a roadside restaurant with a small Dukes of Hazard museum attached. He ran a low-budget, dark horse campaign for the Virginia 7th in 2002.
