It's a shame you don't hold government bureaucracies to the same standard you hold ordinary citizens.

My point was simply that gun shop owners have a unique responsibility to their customers and should be scrupulous. There's no reason why BATFE should ever be handed a gift, which is exactly what these folks did. If that agency wants to take down an old or successful gun shop, there are other ways they can go about it - I've seen how they work. But it does force them to do just that: *work*. Bureaucrats are not fond of that, and will likely go find something else to do.

If you want to discuss the inadequacies of the INS, I'll be happy to do so. However, isn't the problem here that BATFE is a little too eager to do its job, while INS is way, way too inclined to do *nothing* about our illegal immigrant problem?

I propose that those two agencies exchange personnel, from top management down to the GS-5 staff members. Yep, that might just work.

I personally believe that INS doest do their job and the Gov Encourages alien worker programs just so the IRS can tax the Illegals to try to float SS and other funds.

One thing I know for sure is that bureaucrats aren't are friends, know matter how well meaning they are

Nonsense. Government agents conducting no-knock raids have a much higher degree of responsibility, coupled with a much lower degree of accountability.
