He wrote that he WENT on a "secret" mission for the CIA's WMD dept, which then endangered his "covert" wife.
If the CIA was concerned about secrecy, he would not have been given permission to reveal.
Now who gave him that permission?

I believe she conveniently "forgot" to have him sign a secrecy statement. Somehow, that technicality works for them, but don't get into technicalities about whether she was "covert" etc.
