When they make the movie, Dakota Fanning should play Valerie.

So she can't remember who recommended her husband!

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it was,

LUCY RAMIREZ!

Waxman is already planning on his next hearing..."why didn't the White House do their OWN investigation?".

I think this guy from the White House has been told to stonewall them.

Watson is accusing him of "dereliction of duty".

She is going to further investigate why the director's office and the witness did NOT invesigate the Plame thing...and bring him up on dereliction of duty.

Shoot me now.

Forgive me for being catty, but in that photo she has a mustache (in her natural color)! And she could have used some orthodontic work when she was a girl.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

She's enjoyed just about the best "golden parachute" ever for a low-level government official who otherwise had little going for her.... wow, from menial CIA flunkie accomplishing nothing (just look at how well she did on WMD issues) to million-dollar book deal and million-dollar luxury home (11 fireplaces) on a hilltop looking out at a lovely mountain range. Of course, she does have to share it all with that drooling charlatan Joe Wilson, but they do seem made for each other.

Westmoreland just stated that he was given a list of questions he "couldn't" ask her

I wish he would read any that do not seem to relate to national security. He could say, "I am not asking you these questions. I am just getting them into the record." The 'rats would surely do it.

I don't believe that all the pubbies boycotted this for lofty reasons. They are just lazy and want to avoid confrontation. How can you win an match without showing up?

At least not until someone breaks into your house while you are there, and threatens to kill you, torture, you, or worse, but your neighbor and his uzzi shows up and kills him before he can have his way with your family members.

Then you will probably not be so upset about the guy living next door to you any more.

Unless, of course, it's the guy living next store that breaks in carrying his uzi. ;o)

No, it was a statement by Victoria Toensing, that a democrat representative read it to Valerie Plame and asked her if she agreed with the statement. Valerie answered by saying "I'm under oath" and "I'm a covert agent".

Almost like saying "I'd love to say she was lying, but I'm under oath, so I'll have to stick to my statement that I'm covert because I was covert once and once you are covert you are always covert".

This dude is from from the Office of Security?

Why would they do an investigation?

And now Watson wants an investigation of this office??

It was Harlow that talked with Novak. Harlow asked Novak not to publish.

Some - like Tom Davis - are suggesting that Harlow should have told Novak that Plame was covert, in order to prevent Novak from publishing.

That argument ignores the fact that - IF Gen. Hayden is correct and Plame was covert - it would be illegal for Harlow to tell Novak that she was covert.

"That she might have returned to covert when the kids grew up."

Frankly, I'd like to know how she thought she'd get to return to being a covert agent after working at Langley for years and years. Her kids were born in 2000. That makes them seven years old now. I wonder how old she would consider her kids to be grown up. 15 years would bring her kids to age 22. She'll be 44 years next month. In 15 years, she'd be 59. I'd like to know how many 59-60 year old females or even males would be allowed to return to covert agent status overseas? This woman is full of crap. She simply tried to paint herself as a victim, which is what the Dems were aiming at.

I have a feeling that there were a lot of questions on that list that the DEMS put on there...not the CIA.

Or, if the CIA put them on there...it is the part of the CIA that wants to take Bush down.

Boy, oh boy...is this guy testifying really hoping to throw the White House under the bus...or is he just ignorant.

Isn't it funny though that the Congresscritters seem so surprised by his testimony but showed NO SURPRISE at anything that Plame said? LOLOLOLOL
