Woman Who Regrets Abortion Upset by New Post-Abortion Email Cards
Life News ^ | 3/15/07 | Matt Abbott

Posted on 03/15/2007 4:23:13 PM PDT by wagglebee

LifeNews.com Note: Matt Abbott is the former executive director of the Illinois Right to Life Committee and the former director of public affairs for the Chicago-based Pro-Life Action League. He is a Catholic journalist and commentator.

Post-abortion e-cards are in the news.

Thanks to Exhale — which "believes abortion can be a normal part of the reproductive lives of women and girls" — you can now send a woman (or girl) who procured an abortion a nice, supportive e-card.

Ain't that sweet?

Post-abortive women can also call Exhale's "After-Abortion Talkline," which "is available to women and girls who have had abortions and to their partners, friends, allies and family members. All calls are completely confidential and counselors are non-judgmental."

Yes, and did you know that Exhale provides links to other "non-judgmental" organizations such as Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation?

Imagine that.

But Caron Strong, a post-abortive woman who is the national director of Operation Outcry, is furious at Exhale's "ministry" and their "non-judgmental" after-abortion greeting cards.

"It is absolutely tragic to affirm life in one card and support the taking of life in another," says Caron.

"Of course, one cannot be strictly pro-life and counsel at Exhale — typical for a so-called support group comprised of abortion supporters."

Caron calls Exhale's outreach "one big lie."

"On one hand, 'You did the right thing,' on the other, 'I'm sorry for your loss.' What contradictions!

"Can you imagine sending a woman a greeting card for murdering her five-month-old son or daughter? No moral absolutes whatsoever. How can they claim to be truly helping post-abortive women when they will say whatever the woman wants them to say?"

Concludes Caron: "It's infuriating!"

I'll second that.

Caron calls Exhale's outreach "one big lie."

That's the theme of the ENTIRE abortion business.

Hey, I wonder if a way to persuade the pro-aborts would be to argue that the aborted babys "feelings" would be hurt by the action.

We could parade some bespectacled doc in a lab coat on Oprah or some like show, state that studies show the baby feels offended and dissed by the consultation he clearly hears prior to the abortion.

View the entire line of ecards.

Here's a good one... complete with a view of the Rocky Mountains.

Healing is possible,
May you find peace
after your abortion.

How compassionate.

Abortion is as much as a "normal part of the reproductive lives of women and girls" as rape is.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com if it's such a Normal part of the reproductive live of girls, then why do they need a hotline???

cause the girls know inside it's wrong, no matter how much crap you feed them.

It's like a sick joke.

I'd almost bet that they're using federal P.P. money for this. Something this sick and stupid has to be government-funded.

Isn't the point of an abortion so that no one has to know you messed up and got pregnant? Who would be sending the card?
Otherwise, why not adoption?

An Abortion Day poem:

Roses grow red
Violets grown wild
You chose convenience
Over your child

"Happy Abortion Day"

That Limbaugh guy was on this the other day, made all kinds of fun of it.

He's immature that way, I guess.

AND GIRLS??

Reproductive lives? Don't they mean NON-reproductive lives?

Oh. Good one. The next time I hear that I will remind the speaker that the reproduction ended the minute they sucked the babies brain out.

In that case, I'm thankful that my mom was immature enough not to kill me before I was born.

How about this one -

You aborted your baby
And you'll never have another
Due to complications
You'll never be a mother.

Happy Abortion Day
