Dear Professor,
I am guesing that English Literature is not your field of study. George Orwell coined the terms "Newspeak" and "double think". You have conflated the two.
There are few better than Mr. Orwell. I highly recommend his 2 books of essays. Almost everyone can benefit from fully appreciating that clear writing is a direct function of clear thinking.
BTW, You never answered my question. Are you a tenured faculty member? If so, what is your field of expertise?
