HOW IS THIS TAX-DEDUCTIBLE???!?

Indeed!

From: http://www.bradycampaign.org/donate/

Because we lobby for sensible gun laws, contributions to the Brady Campaign are not tax deductible for federal income purposes. If you wish to make a tax-deductible gift, please visit the Brady Center web site.

From: http://www.bradycenter.org/donate/

Your entire gift to the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence is fully tax-deductible since no goods or services were provided. If you wish to support our legislative activities, go to www.bradycampaign.org.

On the back of the donation form I sent to NRA-ILA it states that if I donate more than $250, I need to list my occupation and provide the name of my employer. So why does the Brady's "anonymous" donor get to remain anonymous?

If an "entire gift to the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence is fully tax-deductible since no goods or services were provided," my donation to NRA-ILA should also be fully tax-deductible since no goods or services are provided by NRA-ILA.

I wonder how much tax exempt money changes hands between the Brady Center and the Brady Campaign.
