.
Please pray on this day, and every day, for our Patriot Armed Forces standing in harm's way around the world in defense of our liberty, and for the families awaiting their safe return.
You bet. I'll await an email. And pics!
Ah... first communion pics. Our parish is dark as a tomb, but with high ISO and a wide open lens, and a little fill flash, the stained glass really made for some great backgrounds. Steady hands and a stout heart...
The Nikon will be primed...should I use the long lens even from the front row?
... if you're using a flash, then it only depends on how much girl you want in the frame. If not, you probably want to go to a wider lens with a larger aperture to avoid motion blur. Then again, it depends upon whether you intend to remain in your seat... if not, you can use your sneaker zoom (walk up closer to your victim :o)
Y'all seen this...

And thanks for your service, Marine.
Where do I find the Freeper Fantasy league?
grock, that pic made me choose to active Ryan for the WWWW team this weekend----he's due for a good showing. I'm callin' it my lucky piece.
Go to Yahoo.com. On the left side of the screen is a link to Ftnsy Sports. When you click that, theres a link to Fantasy Racing. The Freeper Fantasy league is #916.
I don't know if that's enough info for you to find it. My Yahoo login takes me straight to it... perhaps the others I pinged can help here.
Bill France Hospitalized: Former NASCAR chairman Bill France Jr. was hospitalized Wednesday night at Halifax Medical Center, where he was under the care of his personal physicians. His condition was not known, and NASCAR officials confirmed only that the 73-year-old France had been admitted.(Associated Press)(3-14-2007)
Former NASCAR chairman Bill France Jr. has been diagnosed with a virus, according to ESPN.com's Marty Smith. France is already showing signs of improvement after being admitted to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Wednesday.
France, 73, is under the care of his personal physician. He has struggled breathing recently as a side effect of extensive radiation and chemotherapy treatments for cancer since 2000. He has been relying on a motorized scooter to get around.
I need an e-mail addy for that mush brain schmuck in Washington state...
Thanks for posting that Mac.....interesting AND I liked the part about they should do that in Texas too. :)
Here's a questin posed to Marty Smith about the tire incident last weekend.
Marty,
During Jimmie Johnson's last pit stop at Vegas, a NASCAR official in front of the 48 stopped a tire from rolling out into pit lane. How was that different from the penalty enforced on him earlier in the race?
If the crew needs an official to catch the tire, isn't that the same as letting it get away? Shouldn't he have been penalized again? Just asking the question.
-- Bryan Collier, Jackson, Tenn.
It's a good question, Brian. The 48 might well have gotten away with one. Following the race at Vegas, several crewmembers from other teams approached me in the garage to voice this very complaint, said it's blatantly unfair and there's no way Johnson would have won were that penalty enforced.
So I hunted down Nextel Cup director John Darby for answers. Darby was completely unaware that it even happened, said there was no radio transmission between the pit inspector in Johnson's stall and the scoring tower, the position from which lead race officials govern.
Darby admitted they might have missed one, and likened it to a missed-facemask in football -- you might see it plain as day on the replay, but you're not going to go back and enforce it in the aftermath.
"We're not going to govern that way," Darby said.
And they shouldn't.
Also a question about DEI/contract.
I was at a function with Dale Jr. Monday in New Orleans and posed that question. Is the contract stuff a distraction to you and/or your team, man?
He said no, that he's not one to think too far into the future, said he peers about 10 minutes ahead of the moment. He did admit there are times the magnitude of it hits him. He said he'll be in bed at night and think, damn, we need to get moving on this.
He's a deep guy, though, and said something intriguing: "I'd like to sit down with each crew guy and see how it affects them individually."
Don't forget, too, that Eury is going with Junior, no matter where he ends up.
And JJ did the smart thing, he waited for the crew memember to bring the tire back into his box.
I don't think it's much of an issue.
Did ya see this?...too funny.......
