There are no connections...the Persians were an ancient peoples that the current residents of Iran don't even remotely resemble in genetics or beliefs.

Um, like sure, whatever. Of course, Genghis Khan kicked Persian butt for the same reason in the 1200s. And we will be forced to kick their butts pretty soon for the same reason.
