Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace ignited a firestorm on Monday during an interview with the Chicago Tribune when he expressed his personal viewpoint that homosexuality was "immoral." His remarks were in the context of a discussion about the U. S. militarys policy of "Dont Ask, Dont Tell", that allows gays to serve under the condition that their sexual orientation remain private.
Gay activists and homosexual rights advocacy groups have already demanded that Gen. Pace apologize for comments that were characterized as "outrageous, insensitive and disrespectful." Staffers for Pace indicated the General would not apologize for statements that reflected his personal beliefs.
Faith and Action president Reverend Rob Schenck was quick issue a statement in support of Gen. Pace, calling him "an outstanding American, an extraordinary leader and a distinguished military chief." He further noted, "In his comments about homosexual behavior, General Pace expressed the views of a majority of Americans and said nothing untoward or in conflict with his duties, military regulations or the laws of this country."

Pace told the truth...and was spot on with his comments. I hope he does not bow to pressure to back down from them. God bless him for having the moral fortitude and courage to simply speak the truth.
Although General pace should have been warned to ignore all Journalists because they are just looking for a story they can hang you with, there certainly is nothing wrong in his feeling that homosexuality is immoral.
Homosexuality is immoral.
How can we here at FR contact Gen. Pace and give him a pat on the back?
My son's HS class just did a project based on Dante's Inferno, each kid had to make their own layers of hell and the sins that would put you there. EVERY kid in the class listed homosexuality.
As a sidebar, one of the kids, not my son, saved Bill Clinton for the worst layer of hell and made eternity with Hillary his punishment. LOL, there is hope for the next generation.
Go sign the petition! It WILL be delivered to the White House. Have you noticed none of the media articles quote anyone that agrees with Pace?
Has this great Country come so far now, that we as Americans can not express our opinions anymore? I guess that is liberal socialistic "progressiveness."
They can keep it!
not in conformity with the accepted principles of right and wrong behavior; contrary to the moral code of the community...... .
It goes on in the vein of sexuality to describe immoral behavior, as unchaste; lewd; licentious; obscene. In any case, the word "immoral" can cover a broad spectrum. I believe that anyone who systematically defrauds honest people could be described as "immoral". This is debatable I will concede.
I am tired of the usage of this phrase "The homosexual community" or "Gay community" whatever. Community this and community that. It is used to intimidate people. As if they should beware of a mass organization.
People may remember a James Loney. He was rescued by special forces from Iraq terrorists. It was floated in my city that a welcome reception was cancelled, when we found out he was coming with his male partner. Rubbish. There was no reception organized. He and his family did not want one.
Typical propaganda. Bravo the General.
