While Al Gore is taking heat from (of all places) the New York Times to 'cool it' with his over the top dire predictions on the planet exploding into a meltdown due to global warming, he still has Hollywood to back him with the emotional response he is looking for. According to a report from the Post Chronicle, actress Jennifer Garner is worried enough about the predicted tragedy that she is driven to tears over the issue.
A report online notes that Jennifer has confessed she cries more now she is a mother. The actress believes the experience has made her more caring. She said: "Since I became a mother, I cry more because I care about things more. "I can't watch a movie where something happens to a child. And I've always cared about global warming and breast cancer, but now there seems to be an urgency about them."
Meanwhile Gore is taking heat, so to speak, from an odd spot. William J. Broad writes in Tuesday's NY Times, "although Mr. Gore is not a scientist, he does rely heavily on the authority of science in 'An Inconvenient Truth,' which is why scientists are sensitive to its details and claims."
He adds: But part of his scientific audience is uneasy. In talks, articles and blog entries that have appeared since his film and accompanying book came out last year, these scientists argue that some of Mr. Gores central points are exaggerated and erroneous. They are alarmed, some say, at what they call his alarmism.
I dont want to pick on Al Gore, Don J. Easterbrook, an emeritus professor of geology at Western Washington University, told hundreds of experts at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America. But there are a lot of inaccuracies in the statements we are seeing, and we have to temper that with real data.
I'm not sure that real data is what is needed to push the agenda forward. Gore is looking for an emo response from those like Jennifer on this subject.
What a flippin dingbat. Too bad, she's a hottie. But with the brain of a squirrel.
your problem dearie is you believe lies....LOL
LOL.
It's all a Rimbaldi plot to destroy the world.
I have to be at the baseball field all weekend, starting Friday night. I'm hoping global warming makes it's way down here to Georgia.
That's cute!
I can understand people who don't believe in human induced global warming, and thus do nothing.
I can understand people who do believe in human induced global warming, and thus do everything. They're wrong, but consistent.
What I can't understand is people who believe in human induced global warming, but then don't do anything about it.

Her opinion means a lot more when she's naked.
"When I tink of Global Warming,
Water comes to me eye."
A Calypso for Modern Times
Georgia is going just fine with global warming. I live on the coast, and not worried at all about my home being flooded (short of a large hurricane).
I lived in the DC area for 13 years, and you can have all the snow you want up there. I'll take South Georgia any time. Also, the BBQ is better.
I finally saw a clip of "The Day after Tomorrow" where people had too run away from cold air? (WTF?)
By staying just ahead of the "frost monster" they wouldn't be frozen themselves. Then they actually closed a door to stop the frost from coming in!
I've never laughed so hard in my life - apparenty no thermodynamics experts were consulted for that scene.
Right, and now with this 'extra-professional' posturing, she can cry all the way to the bank. Hmmm.... shooting off your mouth about global warming (or any anti Administration policy) is a real shot in the arm for your 'career'. Americans must really be stupid not to see this for what it is.
LOL.
I think the other actress, the one who is in Ghost Whisperer, who kind of looks like her, is prettier.
OMG I seriously cannot remember this woman's name. And my daughter and I watch that show every Friday night.
Okay, I'll click "post", what the heck. :) Then I'll go make some coffee. :)
Don't forget to blow your nose, honey.
