I see. I forgot about the parade. But, key people of the rally are coming out for meetings. This protest is being emphasized on all the flash mob sites. So I don't think it will be small.

March on the Pentagon

Saturday, March 17, 2007@12:00pm.
MARCH ON THE PENTAGON Saturday March 17
End the War NOW! Impeach Bush for War Crimes!

On March 17, to mark the 5th year of this immoral and unjust war and occupation of Iraq, JOIN FORCES and march on The Pentagon. Tell the Bush Regime to End the War NOW! No attack on Iran!

George Bush and Dick Cheney must be impeached for war crimes and crimes against humanity! Millions are against the war, spying, torture, the abandoning of Katrina survivors, a spreading theocracy and suppression of science—and want the whole disaster of the Bush regime to be brought to a halt. The more we demand impeachment, Bush’s war options will grow more limited; the more his war crimes are exposed, the greater the impetus for his removal and repudiation.

It is time we rise to this challenge in unity with each other. The people are on our side, the momentum is on our side, the whole world is on our side. The challenge: are we going to move heaven and earth to remove the criminal Bush regime, ending the war and repudiating the direction they’ve taken this society?

“THAT WHICH YOU WILL NOT RESIST AND MOBILIZE TO STOP, YOU WILL LEARN OR BE FORCED TO ACCEPT

Now is the time. 2008 is too late. It is unconscionable to allow this carnage to go on. We can and must reverse the entire course we have been forced to accept, or it will be made permanent.

March on the Pentagon and make our voices heard!

Saturday, MARCH 17. Assemble at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (Constitution Gardens) at 12 noon in Washington, D.C. 2 pm March to the Pentagon.

-------------------
On Monday March 19th, as a follow-up to our huge rally at the Pentagon groups of individuals will be meeting with Congresspeople to help hit home the point that our coalition of organizations (representative of many millions of disaffected U.S. citizens) demand impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

In order to make that message crystal clear we will be authoring what are called "memorials" which is a legally/procedurally recognized method by the Rules of the House of Representatives for individual citizens to initiate the impeachment process in the House. The congressperson can then, if convinced, bring up articles of impeachment for debate.

This is being headed up by Joshua Schulman of the Kingston, NY chapter He has volunteered to organize this along with Jodin of the Minneapolis chpater. Contact Joshua at:
kingstonny@worldcantwait.org

Jodin, has worked up a "memorial" as part of his DIY Impeachment. So, for your own memorial to bring with you to see your representative, download it here:

OK, I was only talking about SF and you're talking about nationwide. Can you make a guess about the SF contingent and I will measure it against my own fancy guesswork when I review the tapes and look at the pix on Monday?

Will be interesting to see what these leftards print when the suicide bombers start going off in their neighborhood (better a chemical or biological attack..).

No doubt then they will be shrieking 'why more wasnt done to eliminate the islamic madmen'......

At that time I hope that no troops will come to their aid in reayment for their leftard city (Sodom by the Bay) declared itself a 'sanctuary' and did everything possible to make the American soldier unwanted and unsupported there.

"Opinion polls show a strong majority in the United States favors immediate withdrawal from Iraq, and a growing number of Democrats in Congress now appear to be moving in that direction."

This is all irrational thinking. You cannot run a military effort by opinion polls. These anti war idiots would better spend their efforts on how to better fight against guerilla tactics. The same guerilla tactics being used against our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan can and will be used in our own cities. We had better know how to fight such tactics by then.

>>Several of the affinity groups that were instrumental in the shutdown of San Francisco four years ago are regrouping<<

Generally speaking, if the people of San Francisco want to shut the city down that's their business.

But last time they tried to block supplies from going to soldiers. That's crossing a line.

The President is too meek to do this but I wish someone like Karl Rove would hire the company that scientifically counts crowd sizes. They have a plane with a special camera and they can quickly estimate a crowd size much more effectively than someone on the ground. Just once it would be nice to see a number based on something other than the organizers' dreams.

There is some irony in peace activists shutting down San Francisco. It is like biting the hand that feeds them.
