I suspect you missed the offending posts before they were pulled. When a candidate's own son agrees to discuss issues with freepers and he is greeted with slanderous allegations about his own father, it is certainly worth apologizing for.

any yahoo can log on and say anything they want (unless it's so rude that the comment gets pulled by the moderators, which happens sometimes). Otherwise, please don't take adversarial comments too much to heart, they only represent the person who typed them, and no one more than that.

I was just going to post something to this effect.

And many of the yahoo's are actually trolls from the left trying to make conservatives look bad or other sorts of opinion shapers just stirring up stink.
