Likud Knesset member Yuval Steinitz called on the government to allow the IDF to re-enter Gaza in a pre-emptive strike to head off further development of terrorist infrastructure.
Steinitz, a member of the Knesset Foreign Relations and Defense Committee, said The picture being drawn for us is grave. I call on the government to launch Operation Defensive Shield II in the Gaza Strip.
Steinitz made his remarks in response to a report by General Security Services (Shin Bet) Director Yuval Diskin that hundreds of Hamas terrorists are being sent to Iran for long-term, high-quality training.
"IDF to re-enter Gaza in a pre-emptive strike"
Why, because it worked so well the last time?
I've never understood why Israel has held back for so long. They need to go in and wipe those idiots out. 4000 missels were fired on Israel from Lebanon. Palestinians consistantly intrude on Israel's soil. If that happened here those people wouldn't exist any more. Our government needs to cut them loose and do what must be done. You will never, ever, convince those terrorists to change their ways, no matter how much you talk to them. There's only one answer........get rid of them permanently.

Steinitz may be one of the few who gets it. Prior to the Lebanon war he warned that Israel was ill prepared and vulnerable.

He is also afraid of Egypt on the southern border.
I believe in a Gaza expulsion...
... the expulsion of all the Palesimians in Gaza, that is.
