Professional golfer Arjun S. Atwal extended condolences but denied responsibility Sunday in the death of a Windermere businessman killed in what authorities said was an apparent street race between the two men.
A prepared statement issued Sunday night by Atwal's manager said the golfer "cannot fathom the unimaginable pain" Saturday night's accident caused the family of John Noah Park, 48, who died after losing control of his car and slamming into a tree.

Both Atwal and Park, who ran a video-production company, lived in Windermere. But the two men did not know each other, according to Atwal's manager.
"We ask that members of the press and the public do not rush to make a judgement [sic] about what occurred here, because once all of the facts have been gathered and the investigation completed, it will be abundantly clear that this was simply a horrible accident and tragedy, with no one at fault," the statement said.

Yep just like the n.b.a.
It sounds like the Indian won.
Sounds like the winner punk'd out and is trying to deny they were racing.
PINKS!
or in this case blood red.
this has been going on since Daimler invented the car...and Ford popularized it.....
I cant condemn it because if the truth be known about my own wild youth, I would have to say I got away with it.
I lucked out, but now, in this case, one poor bastard is now dead....a waste...a damn shame.
cars = WMD They should all be banned. Would Rudy or Hillary confiscate them all?
Whatever happened to the idea of individual responsibility?
Even if they were racing... if one driver went so fast that he lost control of his vehicle and wrapped it around a tree, is that not HIS failure to control his vehicle and maintain a safe and law-abiding speed?
Did the golfer force him to press the accelerator?
Or are they implying that the golfer somehow forced him off the road?
Clearly we need pedal locks and a 7 day waiting period.
