If a new survey of registered voters is correct, a Democrat will win the 2008 presidential election, according to new CBS News/New York Times polls.

With more than 19 months to go before the 2008 election, Democratic voters are optimistic about their prospects — they like their candidates and they think their party will win the presidency in 2008. Not so for Republicans. Although there are many announced and yet-to-announce likely candidates for the Republican Party's nomination for president, GOP voters aren't happy: A majority — 57 percent — says they wish there were more choices. A significant number don't think their party will win in 2008.

They don't call the Republican party "the stupid party" for nothing. They may sit on their hands and hand victory to Hillary, as they handed victory to the Dems and Pelosi in 2006.

I agree with you. We've had 8 years of Bush so what the hell,is Giuliani,Romney or McCain going to be that much more liberal then him at the end of the day? I'd take any of these three over what the Democraps offer no question !!!

Whom Do You Expect To Win The Presidential Election?
(Among Registered Voters)

Republican Primary Voters

A Republican 50 percent

A Democrat 36 percent

Looks like 36% of the Republican either gave up or belong to the "cut off your nose to spite your face" brigade.

"I suspect all this Rudy hate is just being peddled by DU pests trying to redo the 2006 election !"

BINGO! Why change a winning formula. Divide and conquer by DICCs (Democrats in Conservatives Clothing) worked well in 2006 and they are working hard to make it work for 2008.

And a LARGE number of them probably enjoy giving the DNC and Drive By Media talking points right here on FR.

THEY know who they are and their canidates they support (Paul, Tancredo, and Hunter) don't stand a chance.

This is not a Republican site.

True, technically speaking. But I'd bet every dollar I own that a significant majority of FReepers will be voting for the GOP candidate for president in '08. No matter how flawed that candidate might be, we have to spare the country the disaster of an ultraleft dictatorship.

To summarize: Giuliani over Paul in foreign policy, Paul over Giuliani in domestic policy.
