If a new survey of registered voters is correct, a Democrat will win the 2008 presidential election, according to new CBS News/New York Times polls.
With more than 19 months to go before the 2008 election, Democratic voters are optimistic about their prospects they like their candidates and they think their party will win the presidency in 2008. Not so for Republicans. Although there are many announced and yet-to-announce likely candidates for the Republican Party's nomination for president, GOP voters aren't happy: A majority 57 percent says they wish there were more choices. A significant number don't think their party will win in 2008.

If it comes down to Giuliani vs. Clinton a Democrat is definitely going to win.

Who the hell believes a poll from two DNC media outlets NY times and CBS good lord these are DNC propaganda outlets consider the source for crying out loud.
If Hillary is the nominee , Rudy would crush her.
Every reputable poll has shown that !

What other choices are there?

Since when have you started believing CBS polls!!!! They want exactly what is happening on this site-the Republicans to split and tear each other apart. They are helping the cause along.

Look at the 1991 numbers. Republicans were satisfied, Dems were dissatisfied, and the Dems won.
In 2008, whichever political party commits suicide last wins. The Dems have to keep their anti-American wackos from defecting, while conservatives will have to keep most of the socons happy without alienating everyone else.

Yes, yes, we must abandon all hope of maintaining any remnant of conservatism and allow Rudy to save us from imminent dictatorship.
Unfortunately, Rudy is as big an authoritarian as Hillary.
I think I'll stick with conservatism and see how it goes.

You don't. But many of these people aren't going to be happy no matter what, given they didn't turn out for people like Allen, Talent, and Santorum. In off-year elections the base is supposed to carry the day, and I don't think social conservatives have the political muscle they used to have.
Better to run our guy strongest on the defense, force Hillary to move to the center on defense where the moonbats are the most rabid, and make *them* hemorrage votes to a 3rd party. A good offense is a good defense.

I don't hate Giuliani, but I do know that he is not now, nor has he ever been a conservative. I don't vote in an effort to defeat my own beliefs.
It won't matter though because Giuliani is not going to win the nomination.
