Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) feeds the Iraq troops but KBR is being spun off as a separate stock to be issued to present holders of Halliburton. KBR is not a profitable operation and is probably the reason they getting rid of it.

I'm guessing the new Halliburton may then be free of many (most?) Govt contracts and in only in the oil sevices area and mostly in the Middle East.

If the USA would develop its own oil deposits it might have kept HAL in the USA IMHO. In my view, it is the Greens/Democrats who drove Halliburton out of the USA and any jobs that went with the move. Savage doesn't seen to see that it is actually the Democrats who are the un-American 'bastards'!

Having worked the Hi-Tech Semiconductor world, my experience with Govt contracts has be a bad deal for private business & the reason I vehemently disagree with Savage.
