Good point! Truce....didn't mean to offend.I'm not offended. In fact, I was agreeing with you when you said to rudeboy, "Well your certainly living up to your screen name this morning."
I think he should change his name to:
"1rudeboy-who-knows-everthing-and-you-don't-so-shut-up-stupid".

This is an oil field services company, not an oil company.
Since the US does not want to allow drilling here, why would Halliburton not move their headquarters where the drilling is happening.

I understand...I just don't want to enter into a pissing contest this morning.
I read the Reagan quote with no explanation otherwise, just kinda struck me funny that one of my heros would say something like that. Genuine curiosity. I coulda looked it up for myself.
Anyhow, thanx for the clarification.

Let them go. These transnational corporations have been looting the domestic economy and thoroughly corrupting our government for the last 50 years or so. Good riddance and take all the politicians they've bought out to put globalism first and America last, with them.

Funny. I'll change my moniker as soon as you change yours to "raybbr-the-government-needs-to-protect-me-from-forum-comments-because-I-cannot-compete." Deal?

This story appears to be misreported. Halliburton's press release says the company will
open a corporate headquarters office in Dubai, not
move its existing Houston office to Dubai.
Where the CEO lives has nothing to do with where a company is incorporated or where it pays its taxes. If Halliburton feels to win middle-eastern contracts it needs the CEO in the middle-east, so be it. Often a CEO of an Arab company will only negotiate with the CEO of another company.

High taxes, high regulation, punitive investigations, constant political sniping, etc. Say it again.

Good luck on your project there...I'll bet you tire of attempting to reason with him before he tires of foolishness...foolishness takes less energy, you know.

He was poking fun at the prevailing government/Democratic attitude, NOT supporting it.
