An anti-GOP WITHOUT A TRACE episode (Vanity)
self

Posted on 03/11/2007 11:38:36 PM PDT by L.A.Justice

I am disappointed...I have been watching WITHOUT A TRACE for many years. I cannot really remember any episode where there were jabs at GOP...Until this episode.

In this episode, a female GOP senator is missing. (Reminded me of Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins.)

Her body is eventually recovered from water...She went missing before she could cast vote against some oil project in Gulf of Mexico...

She took contribution from the oil guy. However, the senator decided to vote "no" after talking to some scientist. (That scientist gave her info suggesting that the oil company was lying about the harm to the environment. GOP senators did expose that the scientist lied to get a federal grant.)

Republicans did not look too good in this episode...The senator's father would have benefitted from the oil deal. (A cry for campaign finance reform?) When the father talked about her daughter's marriage, he said that it was for convenience...("Some family value crap")

OK...The dead character, who is portrayed positively, is a Republican, a liberal one.

By the way, her husband is the killer...He promised the big oil guy that his wife will vote for the project.

Where have you been???? Don't you know that Republicans are evil, corrupt, racist and greedy????

That's why I don't watch Law and Order anymore.

Boston Legal is the same, but I love that show, Denny Crain is my hero!

I hate to say this, but you have not been watching that long. I stopped watching last year, after a few BAD episodes. One, a casual comment about the Ohio exit polls/ atual votes. Two, something to do with a judge missing and maybe it was Tom Delay. You get the point. I LOVE the show, but can no longer deal with the gratuituos anti-GOP stuff

It does not really sound too bad. I mean I love the show although did not see this one. They do anti-democrat shows too. It is all entertainment. I don't get too upset over this stuff like some do. Life is to short. We should be worried about real issues like electing a GOP President in 2008 who is conservative.

I was at a staff meeting last week when the speaker made some comparisons and mentioned the word "big money" and "greed". A woman next to me muttered "republicans". We're in sales!! If anyone is supposed to want "big money" it's her!! This is simply the way it is. People have been programmed to believe that Republican=evil. TV is written to reflect popular notion.

The Republicans were caricatures - it was as bad as Boston Legal.

Perhaps one of the stars of the show will run for President as a Democrat and go up against Fred Thompson of Law & Order in November 2008.

Anti-GOP doesn't bother me as much as every single law and order murder mystery type show pushing the gay agenda. If there's a bad guy in any episode, it's never the gay person, transgender person, or crossdresser. The evil ones are always the people who don't like homosexuality who are portrayed as murderous and evil. I can't watch those shows anymore because every third episode has a plotline like that.

I stopped watching that show after the lead actor in the show is a radical leftist Bush hater.
he has opened his trap many timer and its non stop bush /rhc bashing . second , the high school orgy scene was the last straw! the fcc fined cbs for quite a sum.

Anthony LaPaglia? He's not even an American. He's Australian. What a shame.
