They have no way of knowing what *I* desire for *my* own medical treatment, and thus have no basis for disagreeing with the statement you quoted.
Well, I'm assuming that because you, a normal healthy person, CLAIM that you wouldn't "want to live that way," you're trying to make us believe no one would.
I've talked to many disabled folks who told me that they foolishly said many of the exact same things you're saying...long before they found themselves in that situation. But once they were in the circumstance, THEY WANTED TO LIVE! And they were horrified at what the state was doing to Terri Schindler Schiavo.
