"I take that as a sign." Nope. Angelides was an absolutely awful candidate. Also, the Rat machine didn't do much for him. Also, Arnold had clearly built a very nonpartisan image. It is much harder to do that in a presidential campaign, even as a moderate.

I agree that Billary weren't of much help to Angelides, and outside endorsements won't carry the state for the Rat presidential candidate. But other things will.

California is still more conservative than many people give it credit. The hard left in SF and parts of LA only make the news - they don't really influence elections. Ironically, I see the SF libs supporting Hillary!, not the SoCalites.

The Dem leaning electorate is really a reflection of socially liberal, not fiscally liberal, sentiments. Rudy is cast perfectly from the Arnie mold. Basically stay out of other people's business, get the house in order, and let's all have a good time.

(Speaking of which, the OC beaches were in the 80s today - it was almost as crowded as the 4th of July.)
