"The fact it's still slightly less than 20 months before the election ..."

That I agree with completely. Way tool early to make decision. I want to hear them all. Then I'll decide. I'd simply like evryone to take two steps back, put away the machetes and the scythes, and chill. Let's look at the candiates honestly and then make up our mind.

If our candidate is not nominated, imho, it is incumbent upon us, because we do love our country and recognize the dangers that we face should we have a Defeatocrat as President, to unite behind the candidate.

I take a very dim view of those who threaten to vote Turd Party or threaten to stay home. That is the political equivalent of a 4 year old having a tantrum.

I agree not voting is ludicrous as it defeats one of the fundamental principles of our democracy but the notion everyone should tow the party line regardless of one's beliefs also defeats the purpose of voting. It is a person's right to vote for someone regardless of party affiliation.

There is the misconception the Republican and Democrats are two distinct parties. They are becoming more alike as time passes. There are socialists in both parties. Those in the Republican party are taking control as evident by a socialist like Guiliani actually being considered as a candidate. They are essentially one party with like minded socialist ideologies. Unfortunately too many people focus on the party labels instead of the ideology. Forming another party would be a second, not third party.

As another poster mentioned the Republican nominee will probable be chosen in February or early March at the latest of next year.

Less than 12 months away.
