Condor51, you hit the nail on the head. The incessant drumbeat of 'Only RUDY can save us!' and 'We MUST stop HILLARY by voting for RUDY!' is getting quite tiresome.

First of all, every election cycle is crucial and '08 will be no different.

But let's assume the very worst, that the fears of the RINO-RudyBots come true, and January 2009 sees Hillary sworn in as President of the United States (pardon me while I spew).

We need to find the faith within ourselves to believe that the same Constitution that was stronger than Bill Clinton, is going to withstand anything that his wife can throw at it.

Yes, yes, yes, I can hear the fearmongers shrieking already that Hillary will suspend the Constitution, declare martial law, round up all the guns, imprison all conservatives, put an abortion clinic in every neighborhood McDonald's drive-thru and her 'It Takes A Village' will be required reading from Kindergarten through High School.

Ain't gonna happen.

If America has become so weak, so utterly terrified of what the 'Rat Party seeks to do, that the lazy minded path of least resistance (i.e., 'Only RUDY can SAVE us!') is the only way that works now, if we as a Nation are ready to abandon the principles that the United States was founded upon, that life is no longer sacred, that marriage is just a word, that every depraved desire within any given mind is morally equal to anybody else's beliefs, desires or values, if we are ready to become AINOs (AMERICANS In Name Only), then it no longer makes any difference whether we pull the 'R' lever or the 'D' lever, it no longer matters if it's President Hillary or President Rudy, because both of those individuals are going to use the Constitution for toilet paper in order to achieve their own agenda, their own ends, and We The People won't have a thing to say about it.

America is at war. It is all too easy to give in to the instinct that we must have a 'strong leader' to win the war, when it isn't just the brute mental-political strength of a leader to strong arm and force and bully their way that will lead to victory, it is the MORAL strength of that leader, and neither Hillary or Rudy have such moral strength.

The choice is not between Hillary or Rudy, (you might as well select tweedle-dumb and tweedle-dumber) the choice is:

"WHICH candidate will uphold the Constitution of the United States and obey their Oath of Office if elected President?"

Hillary is a closet Marxist, of that there is little doubt.

Rudy is a closet fascist, who would run roughshod over the Laws of our Great Land, in order to "make the trains run on time."

If America selected either of those abysmal candidates to be President, we will deserve the chaos and destruction which will surely follow.

A pox on both of their houses.

Let the flames begin, I'm NOMEX-equipped.

Actually, now that we've arrived at 'a vote for anyone but Rudy in the primary is the same thing as a vote for Hillary in the general' propaganda, it's not merely tiresome. It's falling-down drunken stupid.

NOMEX not needed! I think the "Only Rudy can save us..." line was written by Howard Dean.

Hillary has the money machine, she has the base support, she has the political connections, she has the FBI reports, but damn it, 48% of the people just don't like the BI**H. The ONLY way that woman can win is to divid the Republican vote and Rudy is the man for that job!
