At the time you posted this I would have agreed with your assessment 100%. It appears, however, that this manufactured story has been totally obscured by the manufactured story about the firing of the US Attorneys.
They made a mistake by launching both attacks at the same time and have totally wasted this one. It's really an accepted part of journalism that once you break a story and it doesn't catch fire you can't go back and try again at a later time.
Do you suppose that there is method to the White House's madness in letting the Gonzalez mess metastasize the way they have?
