You're welcome, Txsleuth!
LOL - most Sunday mornings include church. I have to pray that the Almighty has sense of humor.
Otherwise I am in big big trouble.

Make no mistake, I am not saying that Dinkins ran NYC well. I am challenging the CW about Rudy and the drop in crime in NYC.

Anyway, the reason he [Wallace] said nothing about Clinton firing ALL of the federal prosecutors was that .... he didn't know.
#####
Chris Wallace goes on local talk shows on Fridays to promote his Sunday show. Regularly Freepers report hearing on their local shows that he answers "I don't know...I didn't know that...I'll have my staff look into that..." when a local conservative host asks his input on a topic that is important to conservative talk show hosts and listeners.
Either he has a selective list of topics that he researches, or he has no interest in background study, or he totally relies on staff to develop his Sunday interviews.

In fairness to Clinton (I can't believe I wrote that!), it was not criminal sexual conduct per sae. Clinton was being sued by Paula Jones for sexual harassment.
The Nags of NOW had been pushing for a sexual harassment law that favored discovery for the man's conduct in order to prove a disposition to sexually harass in the first place.
This type of discovery was often used in the old days by a rapist's defense in order to prove the woman was "asking for it". So they'd bring up witness after witness showing how the woman raped was just a slut... Anyway, wrong then and wrong now.
But once in power, Clinton signed such a law. In fact, he had all the top Nags of NOW at the signing in the Rose Garden and he waved his finger and scolded would be sexual harassers that now they're up the creek if they don't stop.
I'm sure all the Nags of NOW and ole Billy Jeff were thinking along the lines of mean ole Tongue Thrustin' Bob Packwood or Pubic Hair on the Coke Can Clarance Thomas. Or any of the Naval Aviators at Tailhook. Such were the times.
In other words, ugly old Republicans. Certainly not someone cool and attuned to a woman's right to murder her unborn chil'ren like ole Billy "The Sexy Sax" Clinton.
So, the irony of Bill Clinton being the most famouse case of this newfound law of sexual harassment suit discovery was lost on the DBM, but nevertheless, he was a victim.
And then he tried to get women to shut up, leave town, ordered aids to find them jobs, etc, finally lying to the judge in the Paula Jones case saying he didn't have the sexual relations with Monica thing.
The rest is history.
I think God, or Fate if you will, is pretty clever about things, eh?

Here's a good question for you. What do Grover Norquist,David Bonier, and Sweet Cheeks, Pretty boy, ambulance chaser Johnny Edwards all have in common?
Answer is at Atlas Shrugged.
Plus a great video from my own personal hero Ayn Rand herself. It's here:

Crown Heights was no abberation. It ws the decision to allow rioting animals days to 'vent' that put the end to Dinkin's ruinous rein. It took Cuomo to call Dinkins and tell him to end it NOW!
Crime was hardly sinking in NYC.

Mark Twain said that history doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.
How appropriate.

Debunking Jerome Corsi big time, Hawkins makes quite a case.
#####
After the excellent book that Corsi wrote for the Swift vets, I was really sorry to see him buy into this conspiracy theory of the NAU. What really is sad is that Americans can believe that we are going to be taken advantage of by other countries.
We are the most powerful economy in the world. Period. Everyone else is afraid of us. I lived in several other countries, including twenty years in Canada. It is quite illuminating to observe the US from the outside.

OldFriend, in fairness, I have backed up my comments with references. If you contend that Powerline's source is inaccurate, it would be helpful if you provided a link.

He's got a calm, deep voice, and he can seem relaxed as he puts an expression of , "I've got your number," on his face.

Perhaps his acting skills are better than his political skills. He was hog-tied by John Glenn during the Senate Committee hearings on the Chinese money being used in the Clinton campaign.
Fred was Chairman, and sounded good, but Glenn, as ranking Democrat, stifled any serious investigation or conclusion to what was a real illegality.
