And that's news how? It's not like the "noble mujahideen" haven't tried before. They tried to blow up regional trains, they tried to murder journalists, both on German soil. They failed. But that doesn't mean that Germany hasn't been a target for terrorists so far. Quite the opposite is true.
The Germans go completly coco-nuts because of being asked to provide some aerial assistance in reconnisance missions.
BS. That mission has just been approved. The problem is that after WWII there are like 100.000 constitutional safeguards, including parliament approval for every single mission, before troops can actually be deployed.

That's no BS. I see your point about the post-WW2 problem with missions abroad... but the "discussions", "controversy" and "outrage" by German politicians of all flavours, because of a non-combat reconnaissance mission were real.
The terrorists know they can play the Germans. Afterall the Germans paid them twice before in Iraq.
