PingThe Weekend Talk Show Preview Thread is up
It will also be cross posted (sometime soon) to my blog at
http://wizards.townhall.com/
Here's a sample of my usual witty commentary...
The surge is now definitely working and their attempts to say it wasn't failed last week. The combined efforts of Okinawa Jack Murtha, Chucky Schumer, Di Fi, Charlie "troops are stupid" Rangel, Chris "waitress sandwich" Dodd, wise old Carl Levin and the assembled masses of professional anti-war journalists couldn't get that notion to stick. I make it 7 of 15 guests (4 were on primarily for other topics) and 16 of the 19 journalists as committed to the "anti-war" movement. And they failed, miserably....
<snip>
So, Bush's failure in Iraq, betrayal of all veterans and obvious guilt in earth shaking conspiracies against innocent anti-war activists, both in and out of the CIA and State Department, are the order of the day, with a dash of '08 politics thrown in for good measure. Could this be the opening salvo in a formal campaign leading up to impeachment hearings?...

Why doesn't Tim-the-Dhim just have a conference call with Dean and McAuliffe? They'd do the show for free.

Here's a sample of my usual witty commentary... It is that, Mr. J.!!!! Just as an aside, Gay Day at Disney-world ends June 3rd, with Tech Ed of course starting on the 4th. I'm hoping there is no overlap, as I'll have my wife and children (6 & 10) with me. We're arriving the 2nd but will studiously avoid WDW until after the last "John Edwards" leaves.
On the positive side....At long last, they'll get to meet the famous Uncle J. Phsstpok!

I would like a rerun of he Imus show...when he
scorched Schumer...I think it was Wed. or Thurs. of
this week...3/7 0r 3/8. Schumer was cornered at
every one of his excuses, for not visiting the VA
hospital while he is out there after the Republicans
and blaming them??/ what a zilch and airhead...JK
To: Alas Babylon!
It doesn't look like this will hold true this year, but the last couple of years the Gay Day's events have mostly moved to Universal. I have a few contacts down in the area as well as my wife's contacts as a travel agent and we'll try and see what the inside info is this year.
According to their web site Universal isn't on the schedule for any of the organized stuff and they're splitting days between the Disney parks and one day at Seaworld. Thursday, May 31st, is Gay Day at Animal Kingdom, Friday, June 1st, the events are at SeaWorld, Sunday, June 2nd, is primarily at the Magic Kingdom and Sunday, June 3rd, is 2007 Gay Day at Epcot. If they're consistent they will be wearing tee shirts (usually red) and traveling in packs (herds?). Even though the "schedule" calls for one park or another each day there will be groups throughout all of the parks, including Universal, the whole time, but the big groups will be in the designated parks on those days.
What will really bother me is if I see a lot of groups in red tee shirts wandering around Tech Ed!

I went on a FReeper cruise once and it was great. While people had differing opinions, none of the opinions was just plain dumb :)

I am reposting one of the links that Phsstpok posted above, to get you all to read this one specifically...I think it is a good "wrap-up" type column on the Libby trial to this point.
Thank you, Phsstpok, for this column...there were a lot written this last week..but I had missed this one.

I saw an interview with that Michael Duffy on CNN the other night...but, I changed the channel right after I heard him say that VP Cheney is "the enemy within the White House"...
BLECH...the MSM is the enemy within the country..and they are the biggest propaganda tool our Islamofascist enemy has.
