I don't see any conservative I know of right now out there that understands historical significants, can articulate a vision, and act upon an idea as well or better than Newt.

Rudy cleaned up NY City, so I have to give him, A job well done for that, but I'm afraid he's just another NE Rino and we surely don't need another one of those!!

Most of the current Republican candidates would probably get conservatives' votes (as a better-than-Hillary-or-Obama candidate), but not their ardent efforts and sacrificial campaign contributions. Newt would give conservatives a reason to give and to work.

." It's time for "genuine, adult conversation," he says, about dizzying scientific advancement and stultifying, oppressive bureaucratic stagnation and decay...

If we had forward thinkers like Newt in government in abundance, I don't think (for example) one would see a single "telephone pole" lining the roads we drive on.

Career bureaucrat regulators be gone!

I have always loved Newt Gingrich.

Give a hoot-vote for Newt.

I concur (see post 4).

He's the only guy out there with Ideas. Capital I. The Left is terrified of him. His problem is that the MSM and the DNC will go TO ANY EXTREME to get him.

The Dems have NO answers to his well thought out positions, so they and their media pimps will attack, attack, attack.

Newt is unique among our politicians. He is the deepest thinker and sharpest debater. If I could appoint the next President it would be him. However, my bottom line is this: whoever can best beat the Hildebeast.

Agreed. Thanks for posting this. At the moment, Newt is the only one I'd vote for. He's head and shoulders above the others in intelligence, global/historical view, and the ability to communicate. The latter is something which has been sadly lacking in the Bush presidency and is probably what has hampered him from the start. And you can't be a leader unless you can communicate to those under you exactly what direction you wish them to take.

In addition, I think Newt is a genuine conservative, unlike the other three who have already come out of the gate.

"In addition, I think Newt is a genuine conservative, unlike the other three who have already come out of the gate."

So was Barry Goldwater. He lost and he wasn't carrying the baggage Newt has. We saw Newt on Fox news and all our company looked and made sour faces. They were mostly Independent voters. All felt that if the Republicans want to win and beat Hillary it has to go with Guliani. I like Newt, but he won't win against Hillary unless there is a liberal 3rd Party candidate running too. The MSM would just love to have Newt run, that's for sure.

Former staffers who worked with him said that he had lots of brilliant ideas that he'd instruct them to work on, leave them to haggle it out, find a way to implement it while he'd be off on the next thing. The shortcoming they found was that he could not help the implementation and he could not help to prioritize the ideas - they were all important.

Some people are better at doing things other than holding executive office.

Great post. Newt will wipe the floor with anyone he can get into a primary debate with. Watch all the new mud that will begin to be slung against him - it's a measurement of
how much his competitors have begin to fear his talent and
reason.

"Watch all the new mud that will begin to be slung against him..."

No need for new mud. All anyone needs to do is bring out the video of him during the Clinton scandal demanding that the nation should not trust a man to uphold his oath of office when he can't uphold the simple oath he made to his wife, under God.

There are many hours of Newt on the shows pounding on the same theme...all their while he was doing the same thing.

Newt should take a clue from pat buchanan. buchanan could have quietly disappeared into the background and would have been remembered as a conservative icon...instead buchanan followed his ego and is now a pathetic joke. Newt should stick to writing and the speaking circuit...while he has credibility.

No new dirt needed...he'll be hoisted on his own petard.

Intelligent, well educated, benevolent, sophisticated, seen-it-all people who love the United States and The American Dream would obviously love having a man like Gingrich as President of the U.S.A.

You're right on both counts. Six months ago I would have said that Newt doesn't have a chance. Now we have Rudy and McCain being shoved down our throats and Newt looks much better.

Nominating Newt is the quickest path to Hillary in the White House. It would be a wipe-out of Goldwater and Mondale proportions.

"For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."

Chuck Norris knows of Newt's shortcomings, and still feels he is the only true Reagan Republican worthy to run for the office of President. See article below.
