you got the entire Gulag for 50 cents? the whole thing is in several volumes and runs about 2000 pages! I read the first volume of Gulag when I was a freshman in college. It's the book that turned me into a conservative. Probably the single most influential book I ever read.

I read the entire collection high school. Can't remember why I went looking for them, but at the time (mid 70's) I was the only one who had ever checked it out.
It had quite an impact on me also. Should be required reading IMO for high schools.
