I think this echoes the emotions of many around here. Personally, I feel I judicial system has become a tool for the left, rather than a system by which justice is served. I see this as the "call to arms" we have been needing.

Before the election, I remember a weekend Fox News commentator saying: "If the Democrats win a majority, expect a return of a 'culture of investigations.'"

I located an article along those lines.

I pray Republicans and Conservative Independents have fully realized we must band together in 2008.

Right Wing Nut House » WHAT IF THE DEMOCRATS WIN?

Would anything good come of a Democratic takeover of the House? Perhaps by 2008, it would make people long for Republicans being back in control – at least, that appears to be one aspect of the so-called Tapscottian strategy (named after Heritage fellow and blogger Mark Tapscott) that gives Republicans a reason to stay home this November. Mark is a very smart fellow, but this is stupid. Without the “culture of corruption” to run against, the rules of incumbency would reassert themselves and even Democrats in marginally Republican districts would be enormously difficult to unseat.

Actually, Republicans would be wiser to run against the “culture of investigations” that the American people are much more likely to tire of – especially when it turns out that most of these investigations will be fishing expeditions that uncover little in the way of real corruption and instead show Democrats to be petty and spiteful politicians. To my mind, that would resonate far more with voters than any grand strategy that envisions Republicans riding to the rescue as Democrats trash the country.

considering the level of intelect (or lack of) at the trial court level, we have a rough battle ahead.

We need to take the law schools over.

We can't just build our own schools. We have to take over the existing schools.

We also have to assume control of lawyer regulation. Why should prosecutors have unfettered abuse power because no state bar will discipline one of their own insiders.

This whole thing wouldn't have happened if the CIA had gotten its act together and not pretended Plame was some deep cover super secret agent.

It may be a call to arms, but we need a leader before we go to war with the left, and we don't have one right now.

It is time for the conservative majority in the Republican party to take control of this rudderless ship.

To take control the conservative majority must have conservative politicians who can speak and persuade the masses. We have none of those right now. One has to get at the root causes.
- We need conservatives that are willing to become journalists and infiltrate the media.
- We need conservatives willing to become teachers and infiltrate the NEA (yes, laugh all you want but it is possible to make a dent in it anyway).
- We need conservatives who are smart and can debate and persuade and become elected as Senators, Representatives and Governors.
- etc etc

We have to take back the institutions from the bottom up. It is hard for a President to do it by himself and George Bush can't speak so he was handicapped even further. And he was infested with some compassionate conservative dogma crap that messed up his mind.

Fitzgerald knew that no crime had been committed from the onset of his investigation . . .Rather than do the honorable thing and just shut down his search and save the taxpayers millions of dollars, Fitzgerald chose to use his unchecked power . . .

Maybe the poor guy has gone a little nuts and thinks he making up for not doing much (if anything) to stop the 9/11 attacks?

Triple Cross: How bin Laden's Master Spy Penetrated the CIA, the Green Berets, and the FBI--and Why Patrick Fitzgerald Failed to Stop Him by Peter Lance

Yes, I know about Lance's connections to Huffin' Puff post -- but I believe that he's done a good job of connecting dots throughout the 1990s despite that. And ues he's no fan of "Bush 41" and "Bush 43" -- and yes he won't mention any "President Clinton" connections unless asked.

But he's got IMO perhaps the best explantions for 9/11 and lots more.

"I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Several years later we dropped an atomic bomb. Figuratively speaking .. this is what we must do .. but it can't take YEARS AND YEARS because the longer the dems are in office - the worse it's going to be.

I'm so busy now .. I really don't want to take the time .. but I can't stand what the dems are doing and I'm ready to hit the trenches. What on earth can we do NOW to get the ball rolling ..??

Ideas .. we need ideas. A letter writing campaign - an email campaign (that means sending the message over and over and over - until it gets some attention.

[... I Have Freakin' Had It ..]

A lot of republicans have had it..
Any that don't know that are in deep denial and delusion..
2008 will be like no other Presidential election.. BAR NONE..
If half or MORE of republicans DO NOT VOTE, I would not be surprised..

NONE OF THE ABOVE..
would send a serious message to BOTH parties especially 3rd parties.. The shadow government has made a miscalculation.. Republicans are starting to catch on.. I am seeing it..

Hey Doc,

I"M WITH YOU!

And our numbers are legion!

We got to get an assembly point for us all, and let the Republican party feel OUR POWAH!

Should there be a seperate Conservative Republican Caucus of independent delegates prior or simultaneously to the Republican convention in the Twin Cities?

Then we could crash the convention ( shades of Chicago).

Your emotions are leading you astray and causing you to do the very thing that the left WANTS you to do.

Consider: All these calumnies caused by the media, the Democrats in Congress, the liberal activists, Joe Wilson, feckless tools like the press corps, etc.

... And who do you lash out to? Republican leaders!

whose main crime is not to don the superman outfit and fight the scum. No, they are more like zebra running scared while they watch one of their own (Libby), the wounded zebra taken down by the carnivores of the left.

And there you are flailing about demanding the zebras turn into lions!

Amazing, you have managed to internalize the Democrat playbook - IT'S ALWAYS THE REPUBLICANS FAULT!

You've been played.

STEP 1 in the 12 STEP RECOVERY PROGRAM to get your mind set right IS THIS:

#1: The reason politics is screwed up in this country is due to the existence of Democrats and Liberals in power and in the media. It's the LIBERAL DEMOCRATS FAULT.

Please recite this 5 times a day for the next 30 days ...
"It's the LIBERAL DEMOCRATS FAULT" ... and you will begin to understand.

We are calling the shots now and if they don't stand up and represent us, then to hell with them.

The author is delusional. The facts are that we're obviously not calling the shots, they won't stand up and they don't represent us.

The facts are that the former Republic is an oligarchy of 535 + the Executive.

I'm cool with the Exec and the Senate (except for that 17th Amendment thingy), but imo the House must be expanded. Greatly.
