As far as the title of this thread, let me just say that equal opportunity hurling is still hurling as far as I'm concerned...and while getting out the popcorn and watching the fireworks can be enormously entertaining, it accomplishes about as much as any given match promoted by the WWF. That said, the boys against the girls threads are definitely popcorn threads with much less hope of resolution and therefore probably less frustrating. LOL.

Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. As far as I'm concerned, agreement is not the goal of this exercise, but the constant questioning of assumptions and testing of one's perspectives is. That's how I learn and really what I enjoy about this place. Thank you very much for adding to that. Civilly in the process. :-)

I'm working on that civility thing. Eventually I'll get used to the fact that this socon forum is being inundated with candidates and nonsense that are not socon. And defending the socon candidate in a socon forum against a solib democrat in republican sheepskin is the right thing to do, even if it tries my patience and civility. Best of luck to you.
