The candidate with the early lead historically goes on to win the Republican nomination. That does not in this case appear to be Duncan Hunter.
Duncan Hunter is lost in among the Republican field - despite his avid following here on FR.
Duncan Hunter is a congressman, a legislator with no executive experience that I'm aware of. He was a soldier, a lawyer and then a congressman -- all admiral accomplishments, but he lacks the resume of skills necessary to be president, imo.
Americans are looking for someone who has executive experience, with a record of accomplishments running a large organization, like a governor or like a -- yes, like a mayor.

I want someone who can win this war and that is Hunter with years of military and national security background.
