I heard Beckel on Hannity's radio show last year when they were discussing someone's alcohol problem and the sense I got is that Beckel had a real "Come To Jesue Meeting" to lick an alcohol problem of his own.
I've heard beckel claim to be a 'born-again' Christian, but I don't believe it. He probably faked a religious conversion after his prostitution bust. I think he's a bullying drunk.
