You need to feel bad for the twins. Reportedly they did not want their father to run for president and this is why they were not about to make any sacrifices and abstain from drinking. It was their choice. I don't think their behavior had much influence on the election.

I do not hold the acts of children against the parents unless the parents are enablers or otherwise contributed to or supported the bad behavior. I have known nice parents who raised several successful children yet one turned out to be a thug.

You know, I actually don't think we need to feel bad for them, because they are free to make their own choices no matter what their parents do.

I just think they need the space and time the rest of us got to figure out our lives by learning hard lessons. They will be better people for it...and this book may be a step in the right direction.
