One of the major differences between liberals and conservatives is that liberals are much more susceptible to group think. Most on the left are content to accept the prevailing leftist talking points as their own without questioning any of the intellectual underpinnings of said argument. (Think global warming..)
Conservatives, on the other hand, are more likely to rely on the substance and facts of a debate instead of drawing their conclusions based on 'consensus' and 'feelings'. At least that used to be so.
Enter Ann Coulter.

ditto!
BS, Coulter is the "shock jock" of conservative pundents, always has been. Is she as crude as stern? Nope, but she plays the exact same game.... Go for the shock, cause a little controversy get in the press, get on tv more sell more books. Just because she doesn't talk about sex, doesn't mean her MO is any different than any other person trying to capitalize on shock value like Stern or Madonna.
Ann's a big girl, she's been a pundent a long time, she's a big girl, she knows what she's doing.
What I find amazing is that a shock personality who is no dummy, and been around a long long time, knows exactly what's she doing gets some heat for it and some so called "conservatives" think we should all march lock step to defend her boorish behavior, and if you won't you are the enemy....
Get out of here. Will Ann get a fair shake in the press? Of course not, but she knows that going in.. she's no victim. I will not come to defend a 40something gal who has made a career out of stirring controversy to sell books. She knew what she was doing, she's a big girl... And I won't be bullied by others who say you must march lock step to defend her boorish behavior.. sorry, but if you are into groupism, you belong over at DU not here.
Who's talking about the content of her books?
I am talking about her actions in public and in front of cameras to draw free press and attention to sell them. Coulter is, and always has been about using shock tactics to get free press to sell more books.
If you can't understand the topic of discussion, perhaps it is you who might wish to consider more schooling.
