Tonight Glenn Beck said he thought the illegal alien issue could lead to another civil war.

Well he certainly is an excitable chap, isn't he?

If the FACTS are presented in a straight forward manner the RIGHT will understand the need to put these people on a streamline path to citizenship.

It would be a shame to give these people the impression that we don't want them as fellow Americans. The political fall-out to us will be severe if we don't get proactive in helping these people.

This thread's main article suggests sites like FreeRepublic are hurting that effort.

Of course too many FReepers are too shallow to grasp that concept.

Aren't they, wtc911?

"Well he certainly is an excitable chap, isn't he?"

Not particularly.

"If the FACTS are presented in a straight forward manner the RIGHT will understand the need to put these people on a streamline path to citizenship."

If the facts were presented fully and accurately, everyone to the right of Babsie Stweisand would be out on the streets, gun in hand, helping with the roundup.

"It would be a shame to give these people the impression that we don't want them as fellow Americans."

Why the Hell should we want them? It's up to us to decide whom we will allow to immigrate, and why would we pick people with so little respect for our laws?

"The political fall-out to us will be severe if we don't get proactive in helping these people."

1. Political fall-out? That's your big concern?
2. Help them? Who's going to help me? Who's going to help our homeless vets? Who is going to properly fund military and veterans' hospitals? I will help them walk back to the border by shoving a shotgun up their butts, and that's the only help they're getting from me.

"This thread's main article suggests sites like FreeRepublic are hurting that effort."

I certainly hope so.

"Of course too many FReepers are too shallow to grasp that concept."

Or rather, they understand the issue much more fully than you do.
