The anti-war nuts started doing this at Cindy Shehan's Camp Casey near the President's ranch. They put the names of fallen soldiers on the crosses without permission from the families. It was very hurtful to those families. They are still using this tactic and it is still hurting the families.

Two of the families that frequently counter-protest here in Tucson are Gold Star families, one father a Marine veteran, the other an Airborne Ranger veteran. When they see a sign with their son's picture (they usually have hundreds of tiny pictures pasted on without permission) they charge over and demand their son's names be taken off - immediately. The moonbats have pretty much abandoned that type of sign here, although the occasional newcomer still makes that mistake.
