One of the big ones (not one of these, though) was a New Yorker who was a Clinton holdover, IIRC.Mary Jo White was, I believe, the only Clinton holdover, because of some big case she was in the middle of. But even she was replaced in 2002 (by Comey, who was later replaced by someone else).

Mary Jo White held over for a couple of years, then left. That, and her seat, has absolutely zero to do with this issue.
