It's okay for the AP to claim four mosques were torched that weren't (the Washington Post claimed at least five), or that six Sunnis were horribly burned alive who weren't, or for the Los Angeles Times to report that an airstrikethat never occurred killed dozens of women and children. But when a citizen embed (albeit one attached to a magazine) wants in, he gets sent to the lemon stand.

But will I get stuck at a lemon stand?
Why in the inner ring of cowboy hell do we continue to prevent the true stories from being told - good, bad, or otherwise.
I would LOVE to have a chat with that CPIC clown....
RLTW
Me too.
If you are interested in the the real stories, I recommend the following links:
1. http://www.soldiersperspective.us/
Milblogger Cpl. M is currently deployed in Iraq and he is posting on a semi-frequent basis.
2. http://www.indcjournal.com/
Bill just recently returned from embedding himself in Iraq--at his own expense. You can also see his photos from the trip here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/indcjournal.
I can't tell you how moved I was to see a group of Iraqi GIs chanting "F*#k you Michael Moore!" after the first Iraqi soldier had some choice words for Michael Moore a minute and a half into the video at patdollard.com/young-americans. Select video #3 "Can't bust a nut."
And no we don't use that language in our home or around our kids or grand children, but I had to love it anyway.
I have to tell you...the thing was weirdly funny....
Guys standing around in full kit, talking as if it the subject was the Super Bowl or whether Superman was more powerful than Mighty Mouse, eyeballing some electronic device while remarking "Every piece of electronic equipment in this $&#$ place looks scary as (*&%%&^ *&%^%&..."
Coulda been a transformer for a train set or whatever.
The Iraqis are just standing there, not looking too concerned.
RileyD,nwj is right on. Pat Dollard has a great site...I am going to make a donation.
I would advise everyone to check it out. Bad crude language, but Americans to the core!
