You're missing my point completely. Intelligence pros don't do all of the fretting over whether the person is 'legit'. They have ways to test them. The person must give up very valuable information which is very damaging to the other side as a litmus test. They would do this again and again. Only stupid people would take whatever they say as gospel.

Are you saying their KGB trained spies are not as good as our CIA trained spies? I don't put it past any country that has any modicum of wealth to have as good or better spies than us - regardless of the tests, interrogations, or any type of tool to reveal the truth.
